Sidr honey, sourced from the nectar of the wild jujube flowers (Ziziphus spina-christi), is renowned for its rich flavor, unique aroma, and numerous natural qualities.

This premium honey is produced in various regions around the world and is especially famous in Gulf countries, with Yemeni Sidr honey being the most well-known.

However, Yemen’s production is limited and cannot meet global demand, leading to imports of wild jujube honey from other regions, which is then sold under the name Sidr honey at premium prices. The name “Sidr” is actually an Arabic term.

In India, Rajasthan has extensive areas with abundant wild jujube trees, allowing the country to produce a significant quantity of high-quality Sidr honey. This honey is highly sought after and is exported to Gulf countries at a good price.
